Cash FX Portfolio Manager (Director Level) – Top-5 Global FX House (London) recruitment
This is a global team covering pricing, electronic markets and trading functions for a leading Corporate Investment Bank with the teams focus on front-office but with coverage extending to middle office and further downstream to provide a front-to-back view of delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and agreeing the delivery processes that should be utilised globally to deliver projects and ensuring that the processes are being followed.
- Performing an oversight role on portfolio to ensure that they are being delivered to agreed dates and budgets.
- Line managing and mentoring a team of up to ten in the Project Delivery Team
- Supporting the building of the Project Delivery team through recruitment, training and mentoring activities as well as ensuring the role of the team is well defined and communicated.
- Working with technology teams to agree and manage plans.
Essential Experience:
- Line managing and mentoring a team of BA/PMs in a banking project delivery/technology environment.
- Hands-on background as a Project Manager and Programme Manager.
- Defining, implementing and enforcing delivery processes.
- Overseeing a portfolio of projects and managing the dependencies between them.
- Proven track record of successful technical project delivery in the investment banking domain including collaboration with technical teams to deliver projects.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisation skills.
- Writing high quality business and functional requirements for investment banking systems.
- Business case development and business architecture definition.
- Process redesign and implementation.
- Defining functional and non-functional requirements.
- Running structured workshops to drive out requirements and design.
Business Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of Investment Banking front office environments and processes.
- Good knowledge of the FX business.
- Strong front to back trade workflow knowledge.
