Averitt currently is seeking first-class drivers to help serve our dedicated textiles customer located in Baldwyn, Mississippi. Don't have a team partner already? That's okay; we'll match you with another Averitt driver who is looking for a team partner too.

This exceptional career option entails starting out from the customer's site in Baldwyn preloaded with boxes of fabric and sewing supplies. From there, you'll make approximately eight delivery stops at the customer's retail stores along your route. Although unloading is required, the average box weight is 35 pounds, and lightweight, sturdy hand trucks and ramps are supplied.

Depending on your route, Solo Drivers can expect mostly weekend home time and Team Drivers will enjoy Friday or Saturday home time (West Coast deliveries require weekend drive time and long-stem miles would require Sunday departure) . During down time, your brand new, automatic transmission Freightliner tractor will be parked at Averitt's Tupelo-area service center located in Belden.

SOLO: Starting pay is 34 cpm "HUB MILES!" with an average of 2,400 miles per week (top-out of 35 cpm reached within 1 year). You'll also earn $25.00 per stop, and detention, layover, and breakdown pay are offered when applicable. Currently, drivers on this account average $900+ in weekly pay!

TEAM: Starting pay is 42 cpm split "HUB MILES!" with an average of 4,900 miles per week (top-out of 44 cpm split reached within 1 year). You'll also earn $30.00 per stop split ($15.00 each), and detention, layover, and breakdown pay are offered when applicable. Currently, team drivers on this account average $2000+ split weekly pay!

REQUIREMENTS:

·         1 year of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience within past 3 years.

·         Drivers must have Class A CDL

·         No convictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years

·         No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years.

·         No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years.

·         No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too close, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality).

·         No more than 1 moving violation within the past 12 months.

·         No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years.

·         Not currently involved in any pending court action that would disqualify him/her from employment.

·         No felony convictions.

·         No misdemeanors for theft or violence within the past 10 years

·         No misdemeanors for drugs within the past 5 years
