Channel Manager, CommBiz

Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
CommBiz is a market leading online business banking solution that caters for the needs of small businesses to large corporate customers. The CommBiz channel processes a significant portion of Australia's payroll and other payment types, including BPAY, Priority Payments, Money Markets, International Money transfers and Direct Debit.
Role Purpose:
Take responsibility for the development liaison assigned to Channel development.
This responsibility includes assisting in the co-ordination and management of the CommBiz channel where required in the technology development process.
Importantly, the use of project management methodologies is critical as a process of having informed stakeholders and managing outstanding issues.
The role also involves taking ownership of liaising with colleagues in supporting roles and making sure that they have the relevant information so that informed decisions can be made in offering appropriate solutions to customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Make a major contribution to the channel strategy
- Create the necessary material for the various working groups (security and channel)
- Manage the written content that appears internally and externally on the CommBiz website
- Ensure we have aligned initiatives to the Channel and the CBS strategy
- Liaise with stakeholders in Corporate Business Solutions, Sales and other internal divisions of the Bank as necessary, to understand their requirements and ensure business initiatives reflect the needs of our clients
- Manage internal sign off parties (Operational Risk, Legal, Compliance and Group Security) and related issues that have their involvement
- Hold the register of policies that relate to signed off internal processes
- Respond to client tenders
- Assist with business case modelling
- Write business requirement documents for selected projects
- Be prepared to speak at internal and external conferences
- Be the coordinator for managing the training requirements of staff and customers
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A business related qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with sound knowledge of the Financial Services industry
- The ability to present to a variety of audiences in different environments
- Strong business writing skills
- Sound planning and time management skills
- Proven experience in analysis and preparing reports for senior management
- The ability to handle and prioritise multiple issues at the same time
- A good knowledge of the different Channels used by Personal, Business, Corporate and Institutional customers
- Strong numerical and conceptual analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify fundamental economic and business issues
- Previous experience and a sound knowledge of the Online Banking market
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Development of Business Strategy
- Financial and Business Case modelling
