Genworth Financial Wealth Management, Inc. (GFWM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Genworth Financial, Inc. This position will be with Altegris Advisors, an SEC-registered investment adviser affiliate within the Altegris companies, located in La Jolla, California.

Altegris is in a very exciting growth phase and searching for a Chief Risk Officer who will report to the CEO. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the long-term strategy and framework for identifying, measuring, monitoring and managing investment and business risk

•  Provide thought leadership on quantitative risk-management methodologies

• Create quantitative processes to provide risk guidance in portfolio management

• Advise senior management regarding risk-management policies, processes and execution

• Assist senior management with integrating risk management and strategy development

• Implement a risk dashboard to keep the CEO informed on investment, product and business risks

• Manage risk-monitoring processes, including stress testing, VaR, sensitivity analysis and exposure analysis for single- and multi-manager products, including mutual funds, private placements and managed accounts

• Propose actions to minimize risk to identified parameters

• Create proprietary in-house risk reports

• Manage and review counterparty risk

• Coordinate risk activities across the Research, Compliance and Legal departments

• Supervise small staff to develop and improve risk-management tools and methods, including advanced risk reports

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10-15 years of experience in

oA senior risk-management role

oAlternative investments, specifically hedge-fund and managed-futures strategies

• In-depth understanding of technical and financial risk-management practices within the investment-management industry

• Deep understanding of the U.S. regulatory environment

• Strong leadership capability, with experience building and leading highly successful teams

• Graduate degree in Finance, Math or Engineering

• CFA, CQF or similar designation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• FRM or PRM
