Client Onboarding Specialist

Responsibilities related to the ISDA Negotiator Role would be to initiate clients that need to be added (“on-boarded”) as parties to the ISDA Master Agreement, Futures Clearing Agreements (FCA), and other related derivative agreements.   Assist in responding to counterparty/brokers inquiries related to all derivative related agreements or amendments and circulate open issues to the appropriate departments.

Working within the ADM department he/she will be responsible for ensuring all account and data integrity is maintained throughout the organization; acts as a liaison between all departments involved with new and existing accounts; participate in projects; assist in overall departmental reporting requirements.

 Essential Job Function

·         Obtain required documentation from clients to onboard onto ISDA Master Agreements, Futures Clearing Agreements (FCA), and other related derivative agreements with various counterparties and brokers.

·         Reconciliation of ISDA, FCA, and other derivative agreement exhibits.

·         Coordinate derivative documentation and act as a liaison between business groups to help establish and complete the derivative documentation process, including development of policies and procedures.

·         Redaction of confidential/sensitive items in client documents.

·         Reconciliation and delivery of AUMs to counterparties on ad hoc and monthly basis.

·         Maintain account metrics on Onboarding Tracking Spreadsheet (accounts, static data, aum, on boarded status, etc.).

·         Assist on any special ISDA/Derivative projects deemed necessary by the firm.

 

·         Assist with the new account set up process from beginning to end ensuring data integrity, timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency.

·         Continually monitor the quality, completeness, and accuracy of all new account set-ups and account maintenance.  Proactively resolve issues through an audit function.

·         Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and identify opportunities to improve internal controls.

·         Provide consistently high level of service to internal and external clients.

·         Provide backup assistance to our internal CRM database – Satuit Technologies.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

·         Special project and systems based initiatives when they arise.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Skill Sets Required

This individual must be highly motivated and detailed-oriented; able to work in a busy environment and committed to quality in all job-related activities. The position requires the following;

·          Familiarity of ISDA definitions and OTC derivative products.

·          Clear understanding of industry terminology and Fixed Income products.

·          Strong communications skills at all levels:  courteous, effective and professional; authoritative and diplomatic.

·          Ability to work independently in a busy and demanding environment amid significant organizational growth and change.

·          Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-up discipline.

·          Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM software.

Education/Experience:

·          Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.

·          5 + years experience in the financial services industry.

·          An understanding of ISDA Master Agreements in order to on board new accounts.

·          Experience with Fixed Income products.

·          Knowledge of derivative instruments.

·          MBA preferred, but not required
