Client Service and Strategic Marketing Analyst recruitment
Loomis Sayles Investments Asia Pte. Ltd. (“Loomis Asia”) is a Singapore-based subsidiary of Loomis, Sayles Company, which is headquartered in Boston, USA. Loomis Sayles has been in the investment management business for over 80 years, and currently manages assets in excess of US$170 billion.
Loomis Asia is seeking to hire a client service and strategic marketing analyst to support the client service and strategic marketing efforts of the Singapore office. The overall objective of this role is to provide our clients and the sales distribution channels in Asia with superior service on a consistent basis. This position reports to the Managing Director of Loomis Asia. The successful candidate would interface closely with other Loomis Sayles staff located in the Boston office on a regular basis. From the client service perspective, this position is responsible for providing investment and product information in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be capable of independently gathering information from various sources, primarily from internal investment systems, research analysts, portfolio managers, and written/electronic news publications. On the strategic marketing front, this position would interface with other strategic marketing team members and product teams in supporting the international sales efforts, data reporting and data analysis.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
- Establish oneself as a key resource for providing marketing and product information to the Managing Director and/or sales distribution channel.
- Utilize various investment systems to respond to requests from clients or sales distribution channels.
- Support the Managing Director when he is out traveling, and if necessary, to respond to any client or sales requests that may arise in his absence.
- Distribute competitive intelligence and other value-add analysis to support the sales process.
- Serve as a resource working with the product teams on a wide variety of portfolio data reporting and analysis. Portfolio data of this nature is utilized in a variety of contexts including RFPs, RFIs, presentations, consultant databases, and in response to many ad hoc inquiries.
- Work effectively with internal resources i.e. Loomis Boston office, and provide timely information as needed.
- Establish oneself as an additional resource for the research analysts located in the Singapore office.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree - major in finance, economics or math preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in the investment industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline oriented environment.
- Familiarity with fixed income and equity securities in both domestic and foreign markets.
- Exceptional communication skills -- both verbal and written (a writing sample will be required).
- Superior organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
- Advanced knowledge of computer applications (strong Microsoft office skills and the ability to address problems with technological solutions a plus).
- Ability to work independently and be a team player.
- Given the time difference between Singapore and Boston, overtime may be required as needed.
