Client service manager
Responsibilities:
- Designated day-to-day contact for client needs. You will primarily operate in a supporting capacity but will also serve as Lead Coverage for certain designated accounts. Represent the EMEA client teams, liaising with NY, Chicago and London based PM Teams and other internal teams to provide best-in-class client service and coordinate new business discussions.
- Understands clients’ investment objectives and their products which meet this need. Provide Portfolio Managers and other internal operational units with appropriate insight into the client needs and business initiatives.
- To develop and manage the institutional client transition/on-boarding process that accurately captures client requirements and ensures the smooth and efficient implementation of the account. To liaise with various internal departments in support of the transition process.
- Maintain ongoing dialog with their clients, scheduling and facilitating meetings on behalf of or with the senior sales team.
- Liaise and establish strong relationships with internal teams (Marketing, Performance, Analytics, Billing, Operations, Compliance, Legal) to ensure client portfolio and reporting needs are met. Utilize all resources available to develop, and deliver meaningful client-ready reporting, in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Research sales opportunities and trends in the marketplace utilizing external tools and publications.
- Conduct competitive analysis and predatory research utilizing external databases.
- Participate in team projects to enhance internal client service procedures in accordance with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Investment management industry experience required.
- Must be degree educated (or equivalent).
- Experience with equity and fixed income strategies is required and alternatives strategies is also preferred.
- Significant experience serving institutional clients
- Must deal with segregated mandates
- A proven track record in the management of institutional client transitions
