Clinical Nurse

I have an exciting role available for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to work through Hays Healthcare in the Liverpool area. This is a full time contract role with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the perfect candidate.

This post is allocated a nominal base, but you may be asked to travel to from time to time.
The purpose of this role is to provide a professional comprehensive preventive and proactive Occupational Health Service with particular emphasis on Pre-employment health assessments, health surveillance, risk assessed based medical examinations, health education/promotion activities and immunisation programmes.

It is essential that the post holder;

• is a Registered General Nurse holding a current registration with the NMC
• The post holder should have recent post registration experience in AE, health screening and Health Promotion, or other relevant disciplines.
• Experience in an Occupational Health environment is desirable
• must be able to work as a self-supervising registered general nurse taking initiative when necessary.
• Must be able to practice autonomously and be able to work without supervision

This role requires self-motivation, sensitivity and a pragmatic problem solving approach supported by a range of professional skills and personal qualities. A high level of these skills is required to enable you to interpret findings from clinical screenings and respond with appropriate action .

It is essential that the post holder has a full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, to enable you to travel to all areas and departments to carry out health promotion activities, immunisation programmes and risk assessed based health assessments.

This contract is available immediately and is subject to receiving satisfactory references and undergoing an enhanced CRB check.
