Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist band 7
Hays Health Care is seeking Band 7 Specialist Physiotherapists to work within British Forces at DMRC Headley Court to provide independent assessment and treatment to MOD personnel.
Dates required between: 01.07.2013 to 31.12.2013
Hours Required: 37.5hrs
The job entails clinical delivery of physiotherapy to a range of conditions from traumatic injuries sustained during operational activities. This will include complex orthopaedic fractures, limb loss and spinal cord injuries.
Essential:
You must have a strong background in manual therapy skills, amputee rehab as well as an understanding of the use of exercise therapy in rehabilitation.
Must be a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).
Must be HPC Registered.
Evidence of working as clinical specialist in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders, sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions, mobilisation and manipulation.
Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and minimum of four years post graduate clinical experience in musculoskeletal disorders and must have previously held a position as a Lead Specialist Physiotherapist Band 7 or equivalent.
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Good IT skills
Desirable:
Previous experience of working with MOD
Previous experience in the use of the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP)
