CLO/CDO Associate recruitment

Department
Moody's CLO/CDO ratings group is responsible for analyzing thousands of transactions across numerous deal types and delivers timely and comprehensive credit rating analysis and opinions to investors and other market participants. The group is organized on a global basis with individual teams responsible for different asset types. Given the challenging global economic environment and the complexity of structured transactions, investor expectations regarding the quality and consistency of our CLO/CDO ratings and analysis have increased. The group strives to meet these challenges by closely examining the transactions portfolio performance, structural features, and legal documentation. Our analysis is guided by transparent methodologies which incorporate underlying fundamental economic factors and credit risk drivers. Through our committee process, we develop insights and formulate our forward-looking views about the expected performance of the transactions which translate into our credit ratings.

Responsibilities
The Associate is expected to monitor performance and update ratings for a portfolio of CLO/CDO transactions. He or she will work closely with parties to the transaction parties to ensure the timely receipt of data. He or she will review legal documentation and performance reports to form a view on the likely effect on ratings, run and evaluate model results, and prepare and defend rating recommendations to committee. In addition, the Analyst will be asked to conduct quantitative research and present research findings to support the rating analysis of complex structured transactions.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of applied statistical and financial modeling and have experience working with credit risk models and large-data sets. Thinking outside the box and considering broad perspectives in assessing credit risks are a plus. Knowledge of structured finance, especially CLO/CDO transactions, is desirable.
