Collateral Management Analysts

Collateral management is a centralised global support function whose primary role is to mitigate credit risk through the determination and calling of margin at a portfolio level. 

 

As a Collateral Management Analyst, you will be part of a team supporting collateral arrangements for derivatives, repo stock lending and London clearing house transactions. All aspects of collateral management are performed by the team. These functions include: negotiating collateral agreements, marketing the collateral management function to clients and RBS businesses, data management, margin calling, dispute management, portfolio reconciliations, collateral asset management and reporting.  

 

To succeed as a Collateral Management Analyst, you'll need to have a strong understanding OTC derivative as well as a strong understanding of credit, legal and front office processes. It’s also important that you've repo knowledge and an understanding of the legal, credit and operational risks associated with collateral. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. And you'll have the ability to form and maintain key relationships.
