Collateral & Margin Management Analyst & AVP

Working within a team the job holder will be responsible for running and margining of SBL, Repo and OTC clients and Credit/Risk reporting of firms’ exposures on a daily basis and group reporting for EMEA region and global team across a variety of products as required. The successful candidate will provide operational support through escalation of failed and disputed margin calls, portfolio reconciliation, dispute management, management of daily reconciliations owned by the group, ensuring all breaks are cleared. This is a dynamic and fast-paced working environment where the candidate will be maintaining the highest level of service by working effectively with senior managers to build out the strategic solution for margining, includes implementation of new systems and also with the various business areas on new initiatives and see through to a successful delivery.

 

Main role functions:

•Running and margining of SBL, Repo and OTC clients on a daily basis.

•Daily Credit/Risk reporting of firms exposures.

•Escalation of failed and disputes margin calls.

•Portfolio reconciliation Dispute management protocols.

•Management of daily reconciliations owned by the group, ensuring all breaks are cleared.

•Booking of margin payments/receipts using cash and securities as collateral.

•Compiling MIS and metric reporting to senior management.

•Work with the various business areas on new initiatives and see through to a successful delivery.

•Work with senior managers to build out the strategic solution for margining, includes implementation of new systems into the Bank.

•Work on a contribute to various projects.

 

Candidate Profile:

•Act as a senior, technical SME of the team with potential to eventually act as Team Leader of the London team (AVP).

•Have a strong understanding of OTC derivatives, ISDA/CSA documentation and the Dodd-Frank EMIR regulations.

•An understanding of SBL, Repo and listed derivative markets, product lifecycles and settlement markets.

•Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels to build strong. relationships with clients and stakeholders within a fast paced environment

•Have strong written and verbal and communication skills.

•The ability to identify issues and think laterally to provide creative solutions.

•A strong attention to detail as well as an ability to view the bigger picture.

•The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a deadline driven environment.

•Have a strong level of commitment to continuous improvement.

•The ability to work as part of a team and have the potential to take a lead role.
