Compliance Administrator recruitment

A top 40 UK legal firm is currently seeking a Compliance Administrator to join their Finance department on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be performing conflict searches as required, as well as assisting with conflict work flow for the team.
You must ensure the Firm's clients (new and active) are screened in line with Government Sanctions Legislation and you will be responsible for managing the Firm's Client Engagement process. This will require liaising with Partners, fee-earners and secretaries and include obtaining authorisation for rate agreements that deviate from standard Business Group rates.
As a Compliance Administrator you will work closely with the Compliance Assistant to ensure that records are correct, creating clients and obtaining all address and contact details, including client groups etc.
You will need to ensure the integrity of the data which is key to the firm's systems which will include, the pursuit and validation of VAT numbers, client references and electronic billing references.

In conjunction with the Client Cashiers you must ensure compliance with SRA obligations such as case closing, time write-offs, processing time recording and amendments, time deletions, time transfers and managing the case closing process.

To be a successful applicant you MUST have a minimum of 6 months' Compliance and Risk focused experience within a law firm. You will be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and will be able to work under pressure and multi-task effectively. You will also have good organisational, time-management and prioritisation skills.
