Compliance Officer, Bahrain recruitment
The ideal candidate has to travel frequently within the Gulf region and is responsible for the bank’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in the other relevant GCC countries.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with documentation and related matters with government agencies.
- Support compliance requirements, processes and procedures within multiple GCC jurisdictions.
- Draft or review Non-Disclosure Agreements, Engagement Letters with vendors, Employment Letters and Termination Letters.
- Provide legal support in relation to executive compensation programmes and follow up on all legal employee issues with the local counsel.
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities in multiple GCC jurisdictions in relation to compliance and other legal matters that relate to the organization.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified attorney who is a member of the Bahrain Bar and should be qualified to practice law in the US or the UK.
- Candidate must have at least 3-6 years of relevant experience in the Gulf region, ideally in the banking industry.
- Sound working knowledge of compliance laws and regulations in the GCC states.
