About the Position:
The Advisory Board continues to invest in growing its new portfolio of service and technology solutions. We seek a Consulting Analyst to support delivery of consulting projects within our Sourcing Compass team. The Consulting Analyst's primary contributions will include preparing and presenting client deliverables, analyzing data, developing negotiation strategy, and leading training efforts. Our work is helping member hospitals drive millions of dollars out of their cost structure to boost margins and invest in patient care.
This is a dynamic, team-oriented position with highly variable day to day activities, great exposure to clients, and the opportunity to join a fast growing division.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ year(s) of professional experience
- Proficiency in using Excel to organize, manipulate, and analyze data sets
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to travel (averaging 20% across the year, with seasonal variability) and valid driver's license
Ideal Qualifications:
- General understanding of the health care system - preferably with initial knowledge of the healthcare supply chain/materials management - along with a desire to expand this knowledge base
- Some exposure to supply chain or sourcing/esourcing experience in or outside of healthcare
- Experience working with large data sets
- Experience communicating effectively with senior executives
- Ability to independently use analytical tools to develop data-driven solutions to complex problems
- Experience working on a rapidly-growing team
