A large European Investment Bank with an outstanding record of growth over the last 5 years seeks a Control Room officer to join their London based business.

The Firm:

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Working with and under the direction of the Head of Control Room, who has over 15 years of regulatory experience, candidates will learn and develop in a role whose purpose is to ensure appropriate compliance coverage of the for the Investment Bank, including:

• Managing and maintaining Watch, Restricted and Insider Lists.
• Overseeing the Chinese Wall to regulate information flows between Public and Private Sides of the Investment Banking business
• Helping prevent and detect the misuse of unpublished price sensitive information through the administration and monitoring of the bank’s Chinese Wall procedures.
• Manage wall crossings through the Firm’s wall crossing procedures.
• Helping detect, escalate and manage potential conflicts of interest
• Provide advice, guidance and support on regulatory issues as required.
• Establish a good working relationship with the wider compliance function and the wider business.
• Preparation of reports and Management Information for the Head of Control Room.
• Draft compliance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Well organised and capable of working in a varied environment,.
* Experience of working in compliance in a Control room or Central Compliance department.
* Good understanding of the regulatory requirements which apply to the relevant business function.
