Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst – Big 4 recruitment
Our client is a leading financial services institution based in Melbourne CBD with a requirement for an ongoing Counterparty Credit Risk project. Global brand with expansion plans, this is a great opportunity to utilise your experience in CCR with a reputable firm.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Provide assistance in drafting and negotiation of credit aspects within trading contracts working closely with Legal including the implementation of cross commodity master netting agreements, credit support documentation and other credit risk mitigation techniques
• Conduct regular reviews of existing and new credit counterparties
• Identify, measure, monitor, mitigate and report credit risk
• Liaise with trading areas, operations and external clients regarding transaction approvals
• Develop and operate processes, procedures and controls in support of financial regulation and other corporate requirements
• Deliver of high quality to analysis with recommendations to senior management
• Provide input as into counterparty capital initiatives throughout the project life cycle
You will possess:
- Quantitative degree or equivalent
- Solid experience in counterparty risk management and particularly experience related to the Financial Institutions industry, including strategies, challenges and trends
- Strong derivative product knowledge
- Good statistical knowledge
- Good working knowledge of SQL, VBA
- Project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be proactive in problem solving and deadline orientated
