A really exciting role has come up for a Web Developer to join my client a Start-Up in web-based videos.
They are seeking an experienced HTML, CSS and JavaScript developer to join their ever growing team of talented software engineers who are responsible for the development of the organisation's new cutting edge Internet video platform.
This role will suit those with a deep desire and drive to play a pivotal role in the development and evolution of the next generation of Internet video software. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make a positive contribution to their team from day one.
Your role will be to help develop the UI of their revolutionary new internet video product alongside being involved in creating, enhancing and maintaining a portfolio of their business website. You will be involved from start to finish on projects from actively participating in UI and usability design meetings through to seeing the finished product.
Required Skill Set:
*In depth knowledge of HTML CSS (including HTML 5 and CSS 3)
*Demonstrable practical experience in JavaScript. Note: hands on experience of Prototype or JQuery are essential. Experience with JSON is an advantage
*Experience with UI unit testing approaches. Experience of Selenium is a plus
*Experience with MVC frameworks
*Understanding of W3C standards (WCAG etc)
*An eye for design
Extra Useful Skills:
*Practical experience with Object Oriented JavaScript.
*Working knowledge of Agile tools and techniques (Iterative development, Kanban)
*Practical experience with templating engines (Apache Velocity, Freemarker)
*Experience with Flash, Flex or AS3
