Credit Analyst, Commodities Trading
Our client is one of the world's most established commodities firms with significant presence in Asia Pacific. There is now an exciting opportunity for a dynamic credit professional to join its regional team, based in Singapore.
Reporting to the Head of Credit, this is a challenging role supporting front office, trading and marketing activities. You will be responsible for counterparty credit analysis and portfolio risk management, working closely with front office and other functional groups including operations, market and operational risk management, legal and compliance. You will also be involved in new business initiatives and partner with front office on complex or strategic transactions to enable business growth by optimizing credit structure and/or developing innovative risk management solutions.
You are degree qualified with minimum 5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, with a strong understanding of key business drivers for the various commodities. You will also possess strong working knowledge of credit principles across the commodity business areas, including shipping and transportation. You may have also worked in a financial institution covering counterparty credit risk within the capital and trading (trade finance) markets. You are highly analytical, with the ability to work across teams in a collaborative environment. Strong communication and presentation skills will be essential.
