Credit Operations Director recruitment
The Head of Credit Operations is a senior leadership role in the newly transformed Operations organisation. The role holder will have overall accountability for the team who provide an efficient credit operations service via the Business Engagement and Service Management Teams to the Front Office businesses.
The Credit Operations function is responsible for the provision of all credit administration, security perfection and collateral monitoring activity for the secured and unsecured credit book; which is primarily mortgages, over drafts, trade facilities and an expanding footprint in margin trading and margin lending for our ultra high net worth, mass affluent and retail client groups. These facilities are generally more complex than a Retail operation due to the more demanding requirements of the client base and also the different jurisdictions in which we operate.
The role holder will be responsible for the functional delivery of all end to end Credit Operations processing, ensuring governance, due diligence and risk management. The role holder will lead the effective management of process improvement through appropriate controls and create flexibility and capacity to drive change across their area of expertise and the wider operations function. The role holder will own and understand the economic importance and commercial impact of all Credit Operations activities and actions and they will drive value in everything they do.
The ideal candidate will have a Senior Leadership background gained in a Financial Services Organisation in Private Banking, Investment Banking or a Wealth Management specifically with exposure to both large volume businesses together with specialised high net worth clients. The successful candidate will be a deep subject matter expert of credit administration, collateral management, security perfection, structuring deals and ongoing monitoring and control and delivering end to end solutions to Front Office Businesses. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have exceptional commercial skills with the ability to design and implement process re-engineering and organisational restructuring.
