Credit Product Manager recruitment

Also looking for a permanent hire within the team looking at a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 pa plus excellent benefits package.

Purpose of the Role

•To lead and be responsible for the Credit product income, profitability and growth, contributing to the Banking, Credit Treasury objectives and delivering the commercial performance within appropriate planning periods.

•Participate and support the Head of Credit Solutions in the effective performance, governance, strategic direction, risk management and operation of our Credit products

•Act as a driver of change to develop and implement the Credit products strategy that delivers on the UK, Asia and Swiss market opportunity

•To ensure the Credit Product Solution team operates as a high performing team and is a key contributor to the overall Banking Products Team

Deliverables

•Lead all day to day product management for Credit products

•Maintain product strategies and plans for the Credit products range which ensure achievement of plans and overall business strategies ( acquisition, retention, pricing optimisation)

•To deliver a range of Credit products with particular emphasis on product specifications, product positioning, competitor products, cost containment, revenue and profitability, enhancing the Credit proposition and offering attractive solutions to meet the credit needs of our clients

•Work with global colleagues within Private Banking to provide technical product focus and support to business re client acquisition and growth objectives

•To review product performance globally, with full attention to the underlying product specifics, addressing any deficiencies as appropriate

•To act as Subject Matter Expert in relation to any project and operating model changes impacting the business, including representation at Working Parties and Project Forums

•Work with Private and Commercial Bankers to facilitate product sales

•Acting as subject matter expert, provide product training and support to the Frontline, raising awareness and understanding of the proposition and new product launches

•To encourage Frontline and client feedback to ensure the proposition remains relevant and meets client needs and expectations – logging ideas relating to new products or the development of existing products to maintain positioning, price and margins, prioritising and recommending most appropriate opportunities to direct management

•To drive new product proposals through the Group New Product Risk Assessment process, ensuring the full engagement of all relevant stakeholders

•To own the products within the proposition ensuring the completion of product reviews and management of follow up actions as required

•Gather information regarding relevant competitor products and feed into product development process, to ensure that product initiatives are competitive with our market position / brand

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the bank’s central control functions. Sharing knowledge and information to enable more effective management of risk, financial reporting and resolution of issues.

•Working with internal partners across Finance, Wealth Treasury, Private Bankers.

•Provide input to policies and procedure manuals for each product / service. Responsibility for ensuring relevant policies and procedures are implemented and that manuals are kept up-to-date.

•Develop and coach direct reports within product team

Experience

•Expert knowledge and understanding of the UK International credit market particularly in the Private Banking industry.

•Strong business acumen

•Thorough knowledge of relevant UK regulatory environment (MCOB, Basel 2/3, CCA)

•Strong project management skills with proven success in a cross boarder environment

•Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain effective relationships

•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Technical Knowledge (including professional qualifications)                                                                             

•Demonstrable knowledge of Credit products e.g. Mortgage (UK/Offshore), Lombard Lending, Commercial (Trade Finance)

•ACIB CeMap qualifications or equivalent preferable

•Full suite of MS Office applications (Excellent Excel Powerpoint)
