Credit Surety Analyst recruitment

Credit Analyst - London - City - Up to £45,000

Our clinet, a leding global insurer is looking to recuit a Credit Analyst join their team. The seucsefull candidte will be managing a portfolio of credit risks within the Global Risk Management unit. Ensuring submissions are presented to the European, Group and Asset Management Committees in a timely manner and recommending strategies for distressed credits.

General Description

Preparation of credit committee papers to the European, Group and Asset Management Committees.

Establish and manage a diary of buyer risks attaching to European Credit Committee, and the European risks that sit within Group Credit Committee and Asset Management Committee. Ensure all risks are reviewed in a timely manner and co-ordinate the diary with Global Risk Management in Australia.

Monitor all of the buyers within the portfolio undertaking site visits where required and setting up factiva, crreditqube, companywatch and SP online monitoring.

Updating Creditqube with all Credit Committee decisions and paperwork, applying internal limits and ratings where applicable and communicating decisions to Risk Underwriting.

Liaison with Underwriting in order to identify deteriorating and distressed credits within the portfolio, recommending remedial strategies where applicable.

Recording and co-ordination of repayment plans and work outs in conjunction with both Claims and Risk Underwriting.

Liaison with Underwriting to identify key credits where Credit Committee input will be required. Adopting a pro-active approach to the review and analysis process in order that the business can react quickly to market demand.

Strong emphasis on liaison with Global Risk Management units in Australia and US.

Strong emphasis on liaison with Surety business units in UK, Germany, France and Australia

Provide support, where applicable, to the GRM European Manager in the delivery and review of Underwritting guidelines across the European Trade Credit and Surety portfolios.

Requirements

Fluent French Speaker preferred

Strong analytical and report writing skills.

Strong self motivated individual who is capable of working well on own initiative.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload.

Negotiating and influencing skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
