Customer Data Analyst (Retail)

 

My Client provides world-class customer insights through a team of analysts and consultants, working with their customer insight and loyalty teams.

They provide analytical resource to clients and provide analytical solutions that significantly improve Clients insight and communication capabilities.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for owning the analytical segmentations plan, working closely with the Customer Insight team, to design, develop, launch and maintain analytical solutions that significantly improve the insight and communication capabilities of the business.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the role are:

 

1.    Work with the Lead Segmentation Analyst (LMG) and Segmentations Manager to deliver the segmentations work plan.

2.    Liaise with the project stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure these are built into the solution produced.

3.    Own the key technical stages of the segmentation process, including data preparation, analysis, statistical modeling and profiling.

4.    Prepare case studies which support the segmentations manager in successfully embedding the tools and segmentations into the business.

5.    Ensure that tools and segmentations are regularly available to the client and work with IT to achieve full automation of data transfers and refresh processes.

 

SKILLS EXPERIENCE

1.    Preferably 2 years experience of working in an FMCG manufacturer, retailer or continuous data agency, supplying retail analysis to food retailers/FMCGs using customer, EPOS or panel data (e.g. Kantar / Nielsen data)

2.    Strong data analysis background with a detailed knowledge of analytical techniques and experience of turning data into relevant and actionable insight.

3.    Experience understanding of statistical/analytical techniques such as regression, CHAID clustering.

4.    Experienced user of SAS, including understanding of macro language and PROC SQL steps.

5.    Regular experienced user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word Powerpoint.
