Data Privacy and Compliance Counsel

A Nasdaq listed leading provider of information technology, consulting, and business process outsourcing services with global headquarters in the USA .
THE ROLE
As Data Privacy and Compliance Counsel, this role will sit within the EMEA legal team which is an integral part of the continued growth of this organisation's EMEA operations. Reporting to the General Counsel for EMEA, this role will work within the EMEA legal team and will work closely with the wider global legal and compliance team and other parts of the business including client facing, global information security, internal audit and HR. The role will involve daily exposure to clients and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
This person will have chief responsibility for the coordination and management of data privacy and compliance issues across the EMEA operations, driving understanding of legal requirements and liaising globally on compliance requirements of the wider organisation, which include US or foreign data privacy, security or corruption laws upon the EMEA business. You will also work closely with the legal teams in the USA and India and will collaborate with outside counsel as required.
ABOUT YOU
In order to qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, with data privacy and compliance experience gained within either private practice or an in-house organisation. You will also have the ability to balance legal risks with commercial needs, be a self starter and be able to work independently.
