Deputy Unit Manager – Dundee

Hays Healthcare is working with a pioneering Health and Social care company who require a Deputy Unit Manager to work within their twelve bed residential service in Dundee.

Ellen Mhor is a twelve bed residential service supported by learning disability nurses, offering care and support in a structured and therapeutic environment. The residential unit serves adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including people who have additional mental health problems and behaviours that challenge services.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated, professional, capable and competent, but most importantly, seeking to always put the service user at the centre of all they do.
As Deputy Unit Manger at Ellen Mhor you will contribute to the effective and efficient day-to-day leadership and management of the service and the nursing team. The successful candidate will have a full understanding of The Modernising Learning Disability Nurse Agenda to bring through and encourage the development of nursing staff within the service.

Person Specification:

· RNLD, RMN, or RNMH qualified with 5 years post registration experience
· Experienced in supervising direct care staff
· Committed to promoting high standards and hold a quality focused approach
· An excellent leader and team player
· Self motivated and the ability to manage your own workload
· Able to provide evidence of professional development
