Position Description
Design Producer
*12 month contract
*Must have experience with Producing a Design Team, and have worked directly with game designers on a micro level.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing day-to-day production issues with internal teams in all aspects of game quality - design, animation, art, technology, etc…
* Managing aspects of product development on titles, including working closely with all department leads for the successful release of the product.
* Responsible for all phases of the product development cycle from design through implementation.
* Maintain overall project plan to determine resource and time requirements.
* Hold regular meetings with supervisors to discuss status, resolve issues, and share information.
* Contribute to future Product Development needs such as enhancing creative relationships, guiding the development of new technologies, and evaluating competitive products.*
Required Experience and Skills
* 5+ years of Product Development (or equivalent/related industry) experience and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Producer.
* Experience with Microsoft Project
* Able to keep cool and make solid decisions in high-pressure situations
* Excellent planning, organization and multi-tasking skills
* Experience in planning tasks months in advance
* Excel at verbal and written communication, both in large meetings and one-on-one
* Ability to work with the creative team to help make informed decisions that fit into the scope of the project
* Adaptable to the complex interdependencies of the design process
* Desire to work in a fast paced environment
Preferred Experience and Skills
* Shipped at least one AAA title, preferably console
* Love of games and the industry
* Past production experience with a design or creative department
* Experience with a bug tracking database (TestTrackPro, DevTrack, Etc)
