Development Manager – Agile, Java, Finance Systems recruitment
The role sits within Finance/Accounting Technology and will cover both development and project management of strategic initiatives.
The successful individual will have a strong hands on development background with more recent management experience. You will be expected to work closely with 3rd party vendors, off shore development teams, architecture groups and Quality Assurance. You will have full project life cycle responsibilities and should therefore have prior Project Management experience and will be able to establish the correct processes and governance structures to get projects delivered successfully.
From a technical perspective you should have knowledge of Java / J2EE, having used it in a hands on capacity during your career. You should currently be managing a Java development team and should have experience of managing vendor based offshore development functions also. You must have worked in the Investment Banking space and it would be seen as an advantage if you have knowledge of finance systems (general / sub ledger)
Experience of Agile methodology would be ideal as would having a recognised project management certification.
