Essential Skills
We are keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate:
- Significant demonstrable e-commerce experience within transactional sites, including web analytics, usability, content management/architecture, SEO/SEM and social media deployment
- Experience in defining / changing operational business structures to accommodate online channel transformation
- Experience in delivering acquisition and retention revenue targets
- Multichannel experience, including e.g. call centre, mobile and field sales force
- Strong client and external partner network and sales-focussed, identifies commercial opportunities and expedites fast
- Experience in developing, launching and growing online products/categories
- Experience of measuring customer interaction and return on investment online
- Understanding of social media and viral marketing
- Revenue forecasting skills, able to build business cases and benefits (modelling) frameworks
Core consulting skills:
- Strong commercial acumen, highly analytical and demonstrable decision making skills
- Highly customer-focused, and demand driven
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external suppliers that vary in their working styles, and at different levels
- Former experienced head of E-Business / New Media (e.g. coming from a FTSE 100 company, major advertising agency, major new media company (Google/Yahoo/Facebook) or specialist firms such as Sapient, eConsultancy, Detica and ATG)
Experienced in:
- Building and managing a team to meet the needs of an emerging online sales and service channel for businesses (B2B and/or B2C)
- Defining a digital strategy or channel roadmap to set in place innovative developments that create an excellent online purchasing channel for online customers
- Achieving commercial growth and cost savings as well as improving the business sales model and the supporting technical platform / third parties
- Working on consultancy based engagements
