Job Description:
- The evaluation of various Middle Eastern Bank credit ratings
- Monitoring a portfolio of issuer ratings, including the research and preparation of rating committee documentation
- Writing and publishing of comprehensive rating reports on individual issuers (based on public information and meetings with the rated entities)
- Participation in Middle Eastern and credit rating committees
- Liaison with issuers’ senior management at rating meetings
- The publication of sector-specific research and insightful commentary
- Regular interaction with investors, issuers and the media
- Responding to external queries from investors, bankers and other fixed income market participants.
- Active participation in wider group committees
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will be included in the Middle East Financial Institutions team, with five colleagues in London and one in Dubai, covering around 70 banks and other financial institutions. The team is headed by a senior director in London, reporting into a Paris-based Regional Head and is part of the wider EMEA Financial Institutions Group. This position will suit experienced financial institutions analysts with strong credit skills
- Strong credit skills, robust understanding of financial statements and other financial data, assured analytical insight;
- Exceptional regional financial institutions’ analytical experience
- Strong presentation skills:
- Excellent demonstrable written and verbal communication skills;
- An aptitude for timely, relevant, and innovative research and perspectives;
- Commanding use of English.
