Director, Corporate Capital Markets & Advisory, Transition Services
Within the Business Private Bank (BPB) Division of the Commonwealth Bank, our Corporate Capital Markets Advisory (CCMA) team within Corporate Financial Services (CFS), is looking for a Director, Corporate Capital Markets Advisory Transition Services, to join our busy and expanding team. The Director role is an important and strategic client facing role, which is key to executing our strategy of becoming the leading Corporate Bank in Australia by delivering advisory solutions to the mid-market to complement our strong financing proposition.
This pivotal, outstanding and once off role will be based in the Sydney CBD, and will be responsible for working with Relationship Executives to enhance the level of engagement/coverage of existing clients with the aim of originating profitable transactions including debt, equity and private bank opportunities in the mid-market corporate space. Duties may involve the development of transaction opportunities within the BPB network; preparing and presenting pitches to potential high value mid-market corporate clients and prospects being either private or listed companies in conjunction with BPB Relationship teams (Relationship teams may also include, IBM Equity Capital Markets, IBM Leveraged Finance and Loan Markets, Private Bank and Regional and Agribusiness Banking); assessing the viability of transactions and developing value realisation solutions utilising debt and equity (private/public); and project manage the execution of transactions.
It is critical that you develop, maintain and manage strong working relationships with business partners and staff to achieve our growth objectives as well as understanding and meeting business and client needs.
We envisage that the successful candidate will be able to;
- Demonstrate strong mid-market advisory and/or Acquisition Finance experience
- Ideally have previous experience in dealing with Equity Capital Markets and providers of private capital
- You will have the ability to understand the client's business in order to deliver timely and professional advice and solutions in support of business objectives and client's needs
- You will have strong negotiation and influencing skills and will have an ability to build lasting business relationships
- You will lead with outstanding vision and values, and will have the energy, passion, mentoring and coaching ability to drive the team to achieve outstanding sales and customer service results.
You have a strong strategic and analytical approach and your ability to engage key stakeholders across various segments of a Banking organisation is first class. You will have strong commercial acumen; risk management knowledge, role model leadership with forward thinking ideas; have great organisation and planning skills that combine with your strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, and you will have held a previous senior position in Financial Services. Additionally you will have a high level of accountability, initiative, enthusiasm and you must have a high level of integrity and be a committed team player. Ideally you will have a relevant Business degree.
