PURPOSE: The Director of General Markets/Product Development will drive revenue growth and increase the profitability of assigned healthcare categories.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·                     Bachelor degree in Marketing or Management required

·                     Healthcare or Clinical (Lab) experience preferred

·                     5-plus years working with marketing and product management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·                     Documents and implements an internal and external strategic marketing plan for targeted categories (Furniture, Apparel, Safety, Utility Carts, Labels)

·                     Directs product launch through collaboration with Category Support, along with members of the Creative and Circulation Departments

·                     Conducts monthly strategic meetings with senior management and Category Support staff at the corporate office. This 1-2 day meeting will be to implement proper delegation of key targeted product deployments and to discuss the current direction/implementation of each individual category.

·                     Consults with suppliers to identify, document, and implement launch and go-to-market strategies for product portfolio. Develop strategic plan with suppliers for catalog visibility. Negotiate funding/growth strategy with suppliers.

·                     Interacts with Healthcare customers, manufacturers, and other business partners to develop feedback loops, working relationships, and joint marketing initiatives to support the ongoing development and refinement of supplier relations and product portfolio initiatives. Conduct business reviews, webinars, live-meetings with targeted high volume customers to discuss the MarketLab portfolios.

·                     Interfaces with newly acquired companies to connect any supplier relations and product portfolio capabilities into our offering, as appropriate. Target specific trade shows for the development of new product portfolios. Evaluates new business opportunities in product and suppliers.

·                     Stays abreast of new branding trends and approaches. Reviews new media and technologies outlets that have the ability to directly translate into the company’s brand strategy initiatives.

·                     Conduct budgetary support sessions on a quarterly basis with Chief Merchandising Officer to coordinate proper budget implementation and goal setting.

·                     Provide input on performance reviews of current dotted-line Category Support and provide proper direction for increased productivity.

·                     Develop and execute on new product development plans based on market analysis, customer input, needs analysis, competitive evaluations, and corporate requirements.
