The Director of Yield Enginering manages an engineering group responsible for products and/or process technologies that are released to production. This includes interfacing with product, process, test, design and reliability engineering to release new products to production and to solve problems while in production.
Works with technology development engineers on transfers of process technologies and the start up of new process technologies at the Wafer Fab site in which they work.
Defines DOE's to characterize the process windows required to meet electrical specifications and to improve yield/reduce scrap in the Wafer Fab and Probe operations.
When appropriate, participates in resolving issues in Assembly and Final Test. Supports cost reduction efforts and other manufacturing improvements.
