Director, Product Manager
This role is reporting to the Global Head of Workflow Trading Product Management to manage the Buy-Side client workflow initiatives. This role requires the candidate to project manage new initiatives and offerings from inception to client adoption. The candidate will provide transparency into the process throughout and maintain a high level of engagement with participants in all corollary functions, including sell-side workflow and post-trade workflow.
The candidate will also act as a risk manager, making decisions on issues encountered during daily operations, managing through application outages, weighing the risk reward for each of those choices and factoring these elements into future plans.
Responsibilities
- Product Development – Drive the development of products by designing new or improved workflow solutions for buy-side clients across both FXall and Thomson Reuters products. Ensure that the products represent a complete solution for the buy-side communities, is integrated into the Marketplaces Trading Products, and form a coherent package with sell-side and post-trade workflow solutions. Prioritize development to ensure timely delivery of new functionality and maximize customer adoption.
- Distribution – Help maximize the successful distribution of the products by assisting the marketing communications team in getting the proper messages to the sales teams. Take ownership of the success of the product - providing subject matter expertise on the product to all areas of the business, including customers and other business partners. The successful candidate will be involved in the sales process, and develop relationships for market research.
- Product Specification – Create detailed specifications including use cases, performance/capacity, and backward compatibility requirements.
- Launch Planning – Organize and manage a pilot program based on the target market for each initiative to obtain feedback. Ensure that issues identified in the pilot program are resolved prior to wider distribution. Ensure the marketing, sales and operations teams are effectively trained on the product, and help up to speed with the scope and timelines. Work with the marketing team to develop appropriate marketing collateral.
- Strategic Vision – Ensure feedback from clients and prospects is captured, propagated to the Global head of Workflow Trading Product Management and members of the Workflow Trading product team in order to prioritize and incorporate them into future plans. Providing leadership for how our offering in this segment should evolve.
- Becoming a leader in FX industry groups and buy-side trade associations that define best practice.
- Making longer term recommendations on how to invest resources. Consider build, buy, and partner alternatives. Work closely with the Workflow proposition manager to provide input into the Workflow propositions.
- Working closely with the relationship management, client support and client integration teams to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with these services.
- Providing direction to the application development and quality assurance team in terms of priorities and deliverables and create appropriate requirements and use case documentation

Education:
- Bachelor's (BA/BS or University degree) degree or equivalent experience preferable
- Trading System Workflow and User Experience design experience (FX preferred)
