Divisional Finance Director
I am currently searching for a Divisional Finance Director for a leading software and technology services provider based in London. This is a broad role with high level exposure and the goal of driving business unit performance and impacting upon the wider business.
The company:
The business are a privately owned, marketing leading software vendor and services provider with offices throughout the globe and a staggering annual revenue. Their flagship London Head Office boasts a large and cohesive finance function alongside the senior management team.
The role:
The divisional Finance Director will take ultimate financial control for a fast growing area of the business focussed on providing IT services to Financial Services clients with a goal of partnering with the senior management team to support further growth and improve business performance. This is a fast paced role offering good future career prospects and will suit a bright and ambitious Qualified Accountant.
Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and improving the financial processes across the division and delivering accurate and relevant reporting and MI including monthly, quarterly and annual results and the budgeting and planning, forecasting process.
Analyzing the business performance vs. financial plans and initiating change when necessary
Reviewing business performance and liaising with financial and non financial department heads
Acting as an advisor to the management team on various commercial negotiations and strategic planning.
Ensuring the financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) are maintained in accordance with US GAAP
Working directly with the Revenue Assurance team on software and services revenue recognition issues
Maintenance and improvement of internal controls and compliance issues (including SOx)
Leading projects surrounding onboarding of new acquisitions, financial modelling, due diligence and other ad hoc projects
Leading and developing the finance team
Experience required:
Qualified Accountant with 4 years + PQE gained within a commercial business
Working knowledge of SAP
High level of gravitas to work with and influence senior stakeholders
Proven experience of improving processes and driving change
Strong leadership skills
Adaptable and driven, capable of working under pressure within a fast moving environment
Expert analytical ability - comfortable analysing and modelling budgets and financial forecasts
Preferred experience:
Knowledge and experience acquired with a software vendor
Knowledge of US GAAP software revenue recognition
