We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with an Automotive background who will be expected to apply knowledge of engineering principles and techniques in the design and development of electrical projects in various industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment).  Candidate will be responsible for the development and validation of Vehicle Electrical System(s).  Furthermore, candidate will be responsible for developing product from prototype through production while adhering to the automotive product development processes.
This position is located in Allen Park, MI.

Duties:
• Develop wiring architecture, wire harness routing, power distribution, electrical system needs and requirements
• Integrate wire harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, and electrical components into overall vehicle architecture 
• Develop and execute electrical system functional and validation test requirements
• Identify and mitigate major electrical system failure modes and effects
• Participate in vehicle drives and demonstrations, perform in-vehicle testing and assist with vehicle assembly
• Develop detailed electrical system schematics, perform analytical circuit functionality and make any necessary system modifications required to meet project specifications
• Responsible to support all corporate quality requirements
• Will be responsible to develop both high and low voltage systems and support charging systems development
• Understanding of the various high voltage battery technologies

Requirements:
• BSEE required, MSEE preferred
• Minimum 3+ years’ electrical experience in automotive industry
• Experience in the field of hybrid electric or electric vehicle automotive controls and wiring preferred
• Working knowledge of control system components and software including sensors, transducers, and actuators
• Strong knowledge of general laboratory test equipment and procedures
• Understanding of Level I and II charging systems
• Familiarity with electronic module design and electrical distribution design preferred
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and succeed in a dynamic environment is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
