Electrical Engineer (Greenville, SC) Job in Greenville, South Carolina US
Position Description:
The Electrical Engineer in the Central Engineering Team manages capital expansion projects, process development studies, and deployment of standardized equipment in the field of extrusion and calendering. The projects are identified in the North American manufacturing facilities through the business planning process for upstream manufacturing processes as created by the various central engineering teams.
Required Background:
The candidate should have an Electrical Engineering degree and 3 years of experience in the design, procurement, and installation of Industrial Equipment Automation and Controls. Prior experience with Extrusion and Preparation process equipment is preferred. The position requires the ability to design equipment using standard Michelin design tools and skill in Project Team Leadership and Project Management.
Position Description:
Manage capital expansion projects, process development studies, and deployment of equipment in the Central Engineering group within Michelin. The projects are identified in the annual budget and created by the business/development research teams.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years industrial experience/project management in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be mobile, able to travel to facility locations both inside and outside the US at a 25 - 50 percent travel level. Primary travel will be in the continental US.
- Applicant must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have strong communication skills with the ability to influence and resolve issues. Both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Experience managing Contract Engineer resources
- Experience with large motor and medium voltage drive applications
- Experience with scale/ weighing applications
Preferences :
- Experience in Rubber Mixing or Plastic technologies
- Experience with Calenders (Rubber, Plastics or Paper)
- French beneficial but not mandatory
