EMEA Head of Control & Reporting
Our Client a Global General Insurance business headquartered in London are currently re centralising many of their key finance team to London and have retained us to make a key Director level hire to join the team. This is a critical hire for the business managing a team of more than 50 finance professionals and will be an integral part of the finance leadership team for the EMEA Region.
Based in London, but with some global travel required, you will primarily be accountable for;
* Ownership of the end to end close process for the EMEA region for Financial reporting (IFRS) and end to end close process for Europe for all regulatory reporting. This will include engagement with a multitude of internal stakeholders across the business.
* Work closely with SII to understand the impact on SII process including the internal and standard model.
* Lead the delivery of all required regulatory reporting for Europe both current and future, ensuring on-time and quality submissions in line with the expectations of management and the audit committee.
* Develop the reporting to the EXCO, Board and Audit Committee line with best practice to provide sufficient business analysis of results, ensuring alignment with internal management reporting
* Work closely with FPA on providing input, guidance and review of Legal entity forecasting under IFRS
The incumbent will need to drive improvements and efficiencies in the team, with the ability to run multiple projects across the entire region. To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have; -
Qualified Accountant with ideally Accounting Practice background
Track record within the Insurance sector, and recent up-to-date knowledge of the relevant reporting and regulatory requirements.
Background of working in a complex multinational Insurance company.
Demonstrable success of leading large teams, across multiple geographies.
