Junior Analyst

Position description

Joining a sector team, your role will be to contribute to the development of its franchise, working with experienced analysts on various tasks: investigation, development of proprietary databases, financial modelling, writing research, monitoring news flow and company results, attending company meetings...
You will have the opportunity to progressively develop your own coverage once you have acquired the requisite skills and experience in:

- Generating compelling investment ideas for our Institutional clients (more than 1,200)
- Creating a leading franchise with our Corporate and Institutional clients (sales, buy-side, companies management)
- Building and updating financial models on covered listed stocks within the sector
- Setting up proprietary databases and valuation comparables
- Dealing with pre- and post-view commentaries on companies' results
- Writing incisive reports based on in-depth research
- Attending roadshows and corporate events

Qualifications / Requirements

- Excellent academic record: post-graduate qualification from a leading Business or Engineering School, preferably with a specialisation in Finance (only applications from Tier 1 Business and Engineering Schools will be examined)
- First successful experience in MA, sell-side, buy-side segment, private equity ...
- Strong passion for the financial markets
- Strong analytical bias and an inquiring mind
- Strong work ethic combined with intellectual curiosity
- Self-starter and creative
- Good team player
- Ability to keep abreast of industry-related news flow
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English and knowledge of a continental European language would be an asset.
