Position Description:
SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. The primary purpose of these systems is to automate the many detailed processes associated with trading, managing investment portfolios and accounting for investment assets. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users within financial services, including asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development.
The IT Asset Management Regional Coordinator role is a highly independent and self-directed position focused on developing and implementing strategies, working proactively with business units, and resolving complex business problems. They will be responsible for working in a coordinated effort with different stakeholders to ensure technology assets are optimally acquired, received, deployed, tracked, monitored, and retired in a controlled and cost effective fashion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activity within the EMEA region, focusing on communications, compliance/process monitoring, reporting, and relationship management.

Responsibilities will include:

• Develop a strategy and vision for deploying ITAM processes and policies across the region supporting day to day operations
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) initiative
• Support the implementation of a process to maintain an inventory of all IT assets
• Create and execute a strategy for increasing the breadth of assets managed through the ITAM programme office
• Provide regional expertise and guidance on ITAM practices
• Serve as a subject matter expert for asset and license management
• Assist in the creation of global ITAM process standards
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets and conduct regular asset reviews/track performance trend/data, lead process improvement efforts where necessary
• Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility on key IT Asset Management statistics, licenses, maintenance, and costs
• Maintain relationship with key vendors and resellers
• Work closely and in partnership with other regional coordinators to ensure global consistency
• Serve as a conduit for information to ensure local decisions to not have a negative impact elsewhere in the organisation
• Liaise with other SunGard departments as necessary including Legal, Procurement, Finance, ISS, etc.

Position Requirements:
• Solid experience of IT Asset Management
• Exposure to working in a large, globally diverse organisation
• Technology acquisition, Six Sigma, and/or project management experience
• ITAM process, software licensing, and hardware asset lifecycle experience
• Vendor management experience
• People management experience a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL, service management, and industry trends a plus
• IAITAM certification a plus
