Role Purpose

Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Markets team is responsible for providing analysis across all fuels and all sectors of the global energy business. This analysis is delivered to clients as an integrated research offering which leverages Wood Mackenzie’s knowledge and expertise across the entire energy value chain. 

The Energy Markets Analyst will form part of a global team responsible for developing long term energy supply and demand forecasts. These forecasts cover all fuels, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear and alternative energy sources such as renewables and biofuels. Specifically, the Energy Markets Analyst will be responsible for analysing and developing content for:

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in understanding and analysing energy demand drivers as well as inter-fuel dynamics. A strong understanding of the macroeconomic-energy demand relationship is required.

As the centrepiece of Wood Mackenzie’s integrated energy outlook, the successful candidate will have responsibility for aligning the Energy Markets Service forecasts with other research teams, including coal, gas, oil, power and metals. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders. There will be ample opportunity to add significant value to all aspects of the Energy Markets offering and to develop further in the role.
