Equities Analyst recruitment
The firm is currently expanding the equity long/short strategy and seeks highly talented individuals for an equities analyst position based in Hong Kong :
Responsibilities
• Conduct fundamentals research in equities for Asia and Japan
• Regularly present investment theses to the portfolio manager, with qualitative and quantitative analysis support
• Rigorously institutionalize the analysis process by building templates / macros and streamlining the workflow
• Build personal strength in non-financial subjects, e.g., product review, law and regulation, macro policies and politics, quants, etc.
Qualifications
• Native fluency in either Japanese, Taiwanese or Korean
• 3-5 years of equity research experience at top-tier institutions, with a highly quantitative orientation
• Solid foundation in accounting / valuation / corporate finance; experience in investment banking, commercial code or tax code a plus
• Top-tier university degree with outstanding academic records; high preference given to natural sciences and engineering background
• English required but native proficiency not a must -- otherwise qualified candidates from asset managers are also welcome
