Equity Derivatives Business Analyst / Project Manager
Position Summary
Our company is bidding a large program of work with a Top Tier Investment Bank in London. This is an exciting and very important piece of work that will yield a very rewarding position for the right candidate.
The Equity Derivatives Project Team functions as Change Agents for the Firm, facilitating value-added change in an effective and cost efficient manner. This position will work with the Equity Derivatives business to challenge existing business models and operating structures and to help identify ideas and opportunities.
You will be involved in the full project lifecycle from inception through to analysis, testing and implementation of the solution. It is imperative that you are able to work on high status projects independently and as part of a team across multiple departments including Middle Office, Front office Business, Operations, Finance, Technology and Compliance.
Main Duties
- Gathering and documenting requirements
- Completing process reviews
- Re-engineering existing workflows
- Migration planning
- Co-ordination of user testing
- Providing implementation / post-implementation project support
- Completing post project reviews and benefits measurement
Qualification and Educational Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (minimum 2:1)
- Knowledge of Equity Derivatives product and process is preferred. This include Equity Options, Varswaps, Equity Swaps and Structured products
- Experience creating spreadsheets and performing reconciliations
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines.
- Experience performing detailed analyses of trade details.
- Ability to solve problems and explain underlying issues to non-technical clients and colleagues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify gaps in control and provide solutions to bridge those gaps.
- Ability to work with IT to provide detailed specifications for requested enhancements.
- Able to work well as a team player
- Must be able to work for any employer in the UK
- Must submit to background check and provide 3 professional references
