Overview:

Our teams deal with a range of functions from asset allocation to economic forecasting and cover all major global industry sectors. Key research disciplines include: Economics, Foreign Exchange (FX), Commodities, Equities, Fixed Income and Emerging Markets. In 2011 and 2012 Deutsche Bank was ranked No.1 in Institutional Investor's All-Europe Research Team, the benchmark survey of money managers that identifies the region's best sell-side equity research analysts.

This specific role is in the Insurance sector team within Deutsche Bank's equity research department. We are three analysts covering 30 stocks in the European Insurance sector and require a fourth team member to be responsible for the updating of extensive industry databases, and help in the preparation of sector and company notes as well as numerous one-off client and team requests.

Key Responsibilities:

* Focus on fundamental analysis for the Insurance sector, whilst monitoring the factors that will have an impact on the sector or specific companies.

* Communicate fundamental views on and off paper in an articulate, confident, concise manner.

* Research, evaluate and identify new investment opportunities to recommend to suitable European Equity investors, whilst backing these up with insights drawn from a wide array of sources.

* Potential to assume responsibility for a number of existing clients that receive Deutsche Bank's Equity Research publications, maintaining and growing these relationships over time.

* Potential to assume coverage responsibility for selected companies, initially under senior supervision.

* Regular trips to London to meet with other members of Deutsche Bank's front office team.

* Take part in conferences, forums, interviews and other industry events to stay abreast of trends and market fundamentals.

You will have:

* Excellent communication, writing and mathematical skills.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Proven research skills and good knowledge of the European equities market.

* Financial modeling skills and experience (highly beneficial).

* Sector knowledge.

* Good client interface skills.

* A strong academic background (minimum requirement is a university level finance related qualification).

You will be:

* Proficient in company accounting (essential).

* Efficient at prioritizing tasks and managing live changes such as the rise or drop of prices.

* Fully committed to the team and be highly motivated and proactive.

* Financial Services Authority (FSA) certified.

* Fluent in another European language (a definite plus).

* Customer orientated, and respond to requests in a timely efficient manner.

* Self-motivated, personable and aspire to achieve excellence.
