Overall Job Purpose and Accountabilities
Deliver ETS agenda – meeting financial commitments, implementing strategy, and building go-to transaction services
Key Accountabilities:
Strategy
- Maintain existing ETS strategy – including ongoing communication, alignment with other businesses, and recalibration where required
- Ensure that the ETS strategy is translated into implementation plans, and devise appropriate delivery tracking mechanism
- Develop regular reporting on delivery progress, including monthly RAG tracking for ETS committee
- Work with Committee members/COOs to sharpen plans and resolve execution roadblocks
- Support mobilization of key strategic initiatives, particularly through scoping and resourcing phases
Performance Management
- Develop appropriate management information, including adoption of Balanced Scorecard framework
- Work with existing MI/COO functions to establish common reporting frameworks and avoid duplication
- Embed performance management framework across ETS team
- Monitor business performance (financial and non-financial)
- Identify performance issues proactively and work with MD/ETS committee to put in place mitigating actions
- Support communication of progress and deliveries to broad stakeholder community
Governance
- Perform Secretariat function for ETS Committee
- Set rolling agenda and ensure members prepare appropriate content
- Define actions clearly and track to closure
- Ensure Committee adheres to CIB governance standards and support regular attestations/conformance testing
- Support oversight of risk and control issues
Communication and Culture
- Work with MD and Committee members to develop robust communication and engagement program
- Manage delivery of communication events, including town halls/roadshows
- Establish multi-channel communication approach that actively engages colleagues and clients in building the go-to transaction services
- Coordinate values delivery and embedment
- Exemplify the firm's values in all professional activities
- Build strong relationships across all business areas built upon transparency, collaboration, and delivery
People
- Support the performance plan process, aligning performance objectives with the ETS strategy and other business areas
- Partner with HR on the Talent agenda, ensuring A players are identified and provided with the requisite support to develop and satisfy their career ambitions
- Work closely with HR the MD, ETS to deliver organisational structures and return on human capital consistent with the delivery of our broader strategy
- Partner with HR on the Diversity and Inclusion agenda

- Strategic thinking; can synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into cohesive recommendation and action plan
- Thoughtful problem-solver; can diagnose complicated issues and move forward on 80/20 basis
- Rigorous planning, organization, and execution

- Financially astute – familiar with financial processes and able to apply judgment to financial information
- Able to develop sharp and impactful presentations for senior management
