Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) is Macquarie Group's funds management business. MFG is a full-service asset manager, offering a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure and real asset management, securities investment management and structured access to funds, equity-based products and alternative assets. The group had $A324 billion in assets under management as at 31 March 2012.

MFG has been managing assets for institutional and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US, through a predecessor firm of Delaware Investments. MFG has global reach, with a team of approximately 1,400 staff in Australia, Asia, Europe, the UK and the US.

 Tax/structuring Manager – Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets

Macquarie, through Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), is a global leader in the creation and management of specialist funds which focus on infrastructure, real estate and adjacent sectors. As of 30 September 2012, MIRA had more than Eur81billion of assets under management through a range of listed and unlisted vehicles.  The global investment portfolio includes businesses located in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden, Russia and the United Kingdom.

Key Accountabilities

The successful applicant will be part of the MIRA Tax and Structuring Team.  The Team is responsible for the management of tax and related structural aspects of:  fund formations, acquisitions, restructurings, refinancing, dispositions and other complex transactions related to the MIRA business.  The successful applicant will be exposed to a variety of industries and asset classes.
