Facility Manager
Facility Manager - Dorset
A long established precision engineering company based in Poole is looking to recruit a Facility Manager on a permanent basis. Please note that a background in Aerospace is required for this role.
Youll be reporting to the Operations Director in this position and the successful candidate is likely to have held a similar role in an engineering firm.
General Responsibilities:
Overall facility security and maintenance.
Personnel management. Responsible for Quality Engineer, Team Leaders
Production:
To manage an established and operational KANBAN manufacturing unit.
Quality:
To ensure compliance with the Companys Quality Management System and to ensure effectiveness of quality improvement actions.
Business Improvement:
To embrace and drive activity in line with the Companys objectives.
Measurements
On time delivery
PPM
Adherence to cost objectives
Sales
Business Improvement
Skills and experience required:
Ability to oversee operations
Previous engineering manufacturing process experience in the aerospace sector
Knowledge of Quality control
Commercial awareness
Some supervisory experience
Attention the detail and ability to take ownership of responsibilities
An engineering qualification is advantageous
