Finance Analyst Planning & Forecasting

Our client is one of the leading UK bank with a diverse portfolio of products ranging from private, retail, investment and corporate banking products.

Based in Canary Wharf, our client is currently implementing a global interest rate risk modelling programme under a wider QRM change project for retail and corporate banking products.

There is now a need for the bank to firstly enhance the existing model to reflect a new risk model and interest rates risk stress scenarios as well as secondly calculating the NII and NIM (Net Interest Income and Net Interest Margin) in order to provide accurate data for stress testing and reporting.

The key accountabilities in this role are therefore accurate financial planning and stress testing skills, as the successful candidate will be in charge of the financial numbers and stress testing for all NII and NIM on this project.

This a challenging and technical role where our client is looking for a strong banking qualified accountant with relevant experience at senior level in NII and NIM on the financial side particularly on the forecasting skills, and ideally with a wider track record in Risk within Treasury planning.

We are therefore also looking for a candidate with dual retail and corporate banking experience covering the following products: mortgages, fees, cards, current account, overdraft (on the retail side) and loans, assets, packages (on the corporate side) as well as general treasury products such as deposits, swaps, bonds, etc.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a risk/treasury SME looking to join a technical and cross-branding project in order to have genuine impact on the central function of one of the UK's leading bank.

VP Level. £600/day. 6 months to begin with.
