Finance Business Partner
Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial and commercial support to Global Business Development business unit including:
o New Product Feasibilities
o Channel and Client Pricing and Policies
o Review of IMA and Distribution agreements together with commercial terms
o Sales Incentive Bonus scheme
- Work with finance reporting and analysis team, regional finance teams and offshore partner to produce concise and targeted financial reporting and commentary for the business unit
- Help define and monitor key financial metrics to ensure management can understand how the business unit is progressing towards its plans and any risks to achieving the plans or opportunities are identified and communicated.
- Interrogate direct costs and embed cost control and management across the business unit.
- Review sales activity each month to monitor progression against targets and movements are understood.
- ABM - work with the ABM team to assist with defining requirements and application to enable ABM to be used in reporting and decision making.
- Analyse and interrogate ABM data to understand the drivers of key costs within products, segregated mandates, desks and look for ways of improving working practices or identify loss making areas to increase overall efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent
- Degree qualified or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience of working within an investment management business, ideally in a business facing, commercial role.
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with senior management and Executives.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements within a Finance function.
- Good understanding of all financial disciplines and reporting developments.
- Experience of using and embedding Activity Based Management techniques in to a business
- Financial Planning and budgeting
- Experience of effectively managing resources across teams, across a number of initiatives.
- Experience of working with overseas operations and effectively managing relevant cross border information flows.
