Full Job Description

As Risk Manager, you`ll help us to improve our practices still further, ensuring we have the right risk processes in place so that our business model remains strong and our customers can enjoy the reliable service they expect from us.
In this key role, you`ll influence structures and standards for liquidity, funding and market risk management that shape the pricing, design and operational practices for retail and wholesale products across the group. This will encompass practices involving collateralised funding vehicles, derivatives, product terms and conditions, and behavioural analysis of customers.
In addition to monitoring performance against the risk appetite framework, and providing feedback to senior management, you`ll undertake detailed reviews to assess and validate risk management procedures.
You`ll need a background in treasury, market and-or liquidity risk encompassing:
- detailed knowledge of a wide range of retail and wholesale products
- good understanding of the principals of liquidity and-or treasury risk management with knowledge of BIPRU and FSA rules and best practice guidelines
- experience in ILAA activities would be advantageous
- experience in risk identification and mitigation techniques with ability to interpret risk metrics and to assess forecasts and action plans that anticipate and mitigate risk exposures.
You`ll need a degree-level education in a financially related field and ideally, a relevant professional qualification (AMCT-CFA or equivalent).
