Financial Reporting – AVP recruitment
Investigo are seeking a top tier AVP to join a top tier investment bank. Within the financial control team, you will collect and review financial information on both the Balance Sheet and PL in order to support internal decision making and external reporting across the firm.
The major functions of the role are:
- Supporting external statutory IFRS quarterly reporting for bank
- Obtaining an understanding of the business for PL and Balance sheet reporting through production of guidance and review of submissions
- Assessing new financial reporting requirements under IFRS
- Supporting other internal initiatives to report to the business to aid their decision making
- Production of monthly Senior Management Team pack and product level commentary
- Liaison with auditors to support the external reporting process
- Prepare guidance, liaise, review and challenge analytical review submissions from sites at reporting periods to understand key movements in those account lines.
- Review and challenge additional submissions required on those lines in order to ensure material accuracy and to present in the final reporting pack
- Producing and enhancing the monthly MI pack which is presented to senior management
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance controls across all the teams
- Providing support to address ad-hoc queries and initiatives both internally and as specified by external regulators
- Support internal Treasury reporting on liquidity and capital to meet the internal requirements of the firm
You will have university degree or equivalent, be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years PQE and experienced in a similar role at an Investment Bank. Please email mark.mcloughlin@investigo.co.uk for more information.
